Well, it should be possible to populate all cells as shown is this sample.

But you are right with your observation that JBGrid tends to provide some surprises to developers ;)

JBGrid cell 0 0 does not populate - while the rest does

Thank you for the response but I found a big logic error MINE. It is fixed now.
