ActiveX/COM dll

Good morning all,

I am trying to switch from VB6 to Jabaco but I am struggling with a fundamental aspect. How do you add a reference to a .dll so i can create classes and use functions contained within it.

I have seen how to use WinAPI to load a C-Type .dll function but how do i load a ActiveX/COM Dll.

I have tried adding a reference via the project explorer > right click > add reference > found the dll and added it. But to no avail, i think its a wrong type of reference.

Thank you,

Use JaCoB

Hello LeosDad,
mhm, I am a little bit late, but I hope I am not to late.

You can use JaCoB (Java COM Bridge) to use ActiveX libaries inside Java and also inside Jabaco.
You find JaCoB here.
Good luck and let us know your results.

Cheers
Stefan
